TV special covering a spirited performance by Baryshnikov and partner McBride highlighted by the exhilarating Tarantella finale, though the Chopin section with choreography by Jerome Robbins is masterfully performed. While its cinematic appeal is limited, this is still a poignant reminder of a time when "high art" could be more easily accessible via network television, and treated with the respect it deserves.
