While off on an errand Endora brings one of Tabitha's toys to life to babysit her. Tabitha decides that all her toys should likewise come to life.
Larry demands that Darrin learn Italian to impress their new native client. When he refuses Samantha's help, Endora casts a spell that has him speaking like a native - until he loses the ability to understand English.
Endora feels that Samantha's mortal marriage is interfering with her duties as Queen of the Witches so she calls Serena in to impersonate her and break up her and Darrin's marriage.

When artificial grass is mistakenly installed on the Stevens' lawn, Darrin thinks that it is Samantha's doing and tells her to get rid of it. After the real owner comes looking for his turf, Endora hexes their yard and Samantha can't bring the expensive turf back.
In an argument about witchcraft after they get a flat tire, Samantha takes Tabitha and leaves.
