Season 1 - This series revolves around a group of peculiar detectives in a new division created to fight against an increase in atrocious crimes. Eriko Osawa (Yuki Amami), a 40-year-old single former careerist returning from the U.S., is selected to head the “Special Crimes Unit” newly established in the Investigation Department of the Metropolitan Police Department. Eriko was a promising career officer, but after a scandalous incident, she was demoted and sent to the U.S. for training, where she studied for five years at the FBI and other organizations before returning to Japan.
Eriko Ozawa (Yuki Amami) of the Special Crime Investigation Unit hears from her subordinate Ippei Hanagata (Junpei Mizobata) that there is someone posting on a crime-related website that they have killed people. This person calls themselves “God” and has published the names of three women they claim to have killed, the addresses of the crime scenes, and photos of the bodies. Among these posts is information about the stabbing of a female college student that was just reported.
Eriko Osawa (Yuki Amami) is assigned to investigate a series of assaults on female models featured in the magazine Episode. Shinjiro Nodachi (Tomoyuki Takano) says he is keeping other models under police protection to prevent further victims. However, another incident occurs just as he makes this statement.
Eriko (Yuki Amami) and others decide to put on a play at a crime prevention event to promote the Special Crime Prevention Unit. However, Makoto (Erika Toda) abandons the project midway through, causing Eriko to fly into a rage.

Eriko (Yuki Amami) and her team are assigned to investigate the murder of a high school teacher. When Eriko visits the scene of the crime at the high school, she deduces that the perpetrator is highly intelligent, based on evidence such as bleach being poured around the body to prevent DNA analysis.

The drowned body of photographer Yasuda is found in the bathroom. There are signs that he had taken cold medicine and alcohol, and the police rule it an accidental death. However, the media begins to stir up a fuss over the death of Yasuda, who had taken many scoop photos of celebrities, and Eriko (Yuki Amami) and others decide to reopen the investigation.
A suspect wanted by the police is shot dead by someone while being pursued by Eriko (Yuki Amami) and others. Immediately afterward, Katagiri (Tetsuji Tamayama) receives a phone call from the perpetrator warning of the next murder. Later, Kawano (Hiroki Hasegawa), a subordinate of Onoda (Sansei Shiomi) who was investigating the case, is shot. Upon learning that Katagiri was present at the scene, Eriko asks Nodachi (Toyoharu Takeno) about Katagiri's past.
The body of a man stabbed more than 20 times is found in an apartment room. Despite the brutality of the crime, the calmness with which the evidence was destroyed leads Eriko (Yuki Amami) to suspect that there were multiple perpetrators.
Eriko (Yuki Amami) and others assist the Public Safety Division with tasks such as investigating underwear thefts under the direction of Nodachi (Toyohiko Takenouchi).
Eriko (Yuki Amami) is tasked with rescuing Police Commissioner Oyama (Masahiko Tsugawa) and Nodachi (Toyohiko Takano), who have been kidnapped by Takakura (Takashi Sorimachi) of the anti-government organization “Black Moon.”
