A ponderous look at the history of Germany in the late 1800s and early 1900s, as it struggled with its rigid system against all these new bohemian thoughts. I was disappointed the film Caligari really starts to be discussed only thirty minutes in. (I also wish more of the movies that were shown via clips were actually identified early in this documentary.)
