Has unfairly lost some of its visceral impact because of the relentless glut of “WWII in Colour” docos in the forty years since, and I’m pretty sure much of this specific “new” footage has been sliced and diced in a myriad of ways since, but there is still something to seeing this concise and fairly straightforward overview of Stevens’ efforts, as narrated by his fellow film-makers, with the Dachau sequence still able to raise some goosebumps.
