Tsuzuki Asato a 26 year old, happy-go-lucky, god of death is tasked with making sure that the departed remain dead and stay in their proper realms. Kurosaki Hisoka a stubborn and serious 16 year old is assigned as Tsuzuki's new partner . Together they investigate the case of the serial killer Dr. Muraki Kazutaka, which also leads them closer to uncovering the secrets surrounding Tsuzuki's dark past and the circumstances of his death.
