The second season, about the famous Betty Broderick case, is most likely better than the first season (which I haven't seen). Amanda Peet's performance as Betty is pretty great--ferocious, even. And Christian Slater is just the right choice for husband Dan. Comparisons with the well-known TV movie starring Meredith Baxter Birney are inevitable--characters are better fleshed-out here, so Peet's Betty seems less a monster than Birney's. But as is usual for these things, it's about twice too long.

Airing on Bravo, though it feels like Lifetime. Really feels like everyone from the writers to the crew to the cast just kind of phoned this one in.
