It has been two years since he was transferred to Dojo General Hospital. Thanks to super doctor Kosuke Sagara (Kazuki Sawamura), who is not only a skilled surgeon but is also adept at moving people's hearts through a mixture of slow and fast movements, the hospital is filled with smiling patients and the staff, including nurse Sachi (Aimi Higa), is full of vitality.
One day, Kana, a pregnant woman scheduled to give birth at Dojo Hospital, is brought in urgently complaining of abdominal pain. According to obstetrician and gynecologist Keiichi Kobayakawa (Yasufumi Hayashi), she has a retroperitoneal tumor that needs to be surgically removed as soon as possible. She is currently 17 weeks pregnant. The fetus must be removed by C-section at 22 weeks, but if the tumor is left untreated until then, both mother and fetus will be in a dangerous situation.
Her son Masaya (Nakagawa Taishi), visiting Kazue (Ito Ran) at Dojo General Hospital, is hit by a motorcycle on his way home and taken to the hospital. The operation was performed by Sagara (Kazuki Sawamura), but the damage was quite serious and 60% of his liver had to be removed. Despite his best efforts, Sagara cannot hide his grim face as the situation remains unpredictable.
Best-selling author Ryunosuke Suzuki (Takashi Sasano) is admitted to Dojo General Hospital. Moriyama (Masanobu Takashima), who has long longed to be in charge of a celebrity patient, immediately offers to be his doctor. He also hears from Sagara (Sawamura Kazuki) that Suzuki is working on a new novel set in the hospital, and he gets excited, imagining that he could be the model for the novel.
Sachi (Higa Aimi) is perplexed when Sagara (Sawamura Kazuki) declares that he will become the director of Dojo General Hospital. Suddenly, Tamaki (Yoko Nogiwa) collapses. For some reason, Professor Matsuda (Fumiyo Kohinata) of the Saigyo University Hospital, who has never met her, calls to offer his condolences, and Moriyama (Masanobu Takashima) decides to thank him.
Sagara (Kazuki Sawamura) submits a business plan to Tamaki (Yoko Nogi), saying that Dojo General Hospital needs a hospice in the future when the super-aging society arrives. Sagara also introduces Senju (Yoichiro Saito) to the anesthesiology department of Tokyo Medical University, his alma mater, to further improve his skills.
Tashiro (Ryosei Tayama), a patient in the hospital, goes missing, and Sachi (Aimi Higa) and other nurses search all over the hospital. Sagara (Kazuki Sawamura) also searches for Tashiro and goes to the rooftop... Tashiro's behavior confuses his wife Akie (Fukumi Kuroda) and the rest of the family, but Sagara strongly urges his father, who has lost all hope for life, that now is the time for the family to reveal their feelings to him.
Sagara (Kazuki Sawamura), following Senju (Yoichiro Saito), is in the process of winning over Takaizumi (Atsushi). However, Kazue (Ito Ran) cannot bring herself to agree with Sagara when she considers Tamaki's (Nogiwa Yoko) feelings. Sagara also invites Sasai (Shona Bokura) and Danbara (Ozaki Uzumune) to a study group and begins to break down Team Moriyama in earnest.
Sagara (Kazuki Sawamura) and his team are asked to be the attending physician for Nakako (Michiko Ameki), an inpatient who is suffering from an intractable disease called intravascular smooth muscle tumor in addition to liver cancer. However, Dojo General Hospital does not have a cardiovascular surgery department that can treat her illness. Sagara visits Saito University Hospital and asks Matsuda (Fumiyo Kohinata), the chief of the medical department, for a joint operation.
