At its best, this is pretty damn brilliant. It's also rather uneven, but the dialogue--which is almost entirely improvised--both feels utterly real and draws you completely in. Any time there's a long conversation in this, I'm in heaven. Check out "Art and Life", "Swipe Left", "Prodigal Daughter", "Side Hustle".

The most interesting series since Horace and Pete

Wildly uneven in a way that actually reflects Swanberg's entire oeuvre pretty well. Unfortunately it misses more often than it hits, but that said the Marc Maron episode might be the best thing either of them have ever done (and it manages to say in less than half an hour pretty much everything Noah Baumbach was trying to in While We're Young).

Although the standalone episodes were hit or miss, I must say this was, for the most part, an enjoyable slice-of-life style ride. Episode 5 "Art and Life" was my favourite.
