Badly written and badly structured, it is by turns trivial and turgid. If you care about movies, this is practically unwatchable. Pity--there's some decent talent wasted, and the period look is great. It's always fun to see Hart Bochner, and although Ron Silver looks good, he's as annoying as ever. The ever-bland Daniel J. Travanti spouts the blandest of platitudes as the psychoanalyst. The intrusive score is horrid, as is the cringe-worthy Robin Hood allegory.
