Season 1 - It's summer of 1989 for sixth graders Boco, Joe, and Junichi, their last summer vacation as elementary school students. Brody, son of the commander of the U.S. Forces in Japan, appears before the three of them, stealing their one-year-accumulation of cash. But their conflict is interrupted by attacking monsters. As monsters appear one after another, Gamera, the monster turtle, fights, even though injured, and the boys witness the legend. (imdb)

Hayami became interested in voice acting while attending elementary school. In 2004, she attended junior class of Nihon Narration Engi Kenkyūjo, a voice acting training school. She was curious how Audrey Hepburn's voice was dubbed after learning that what she heard wasn't the actress' original voice. She recalls how she left a flyer for the voice acting school on the kitchen table, only to be told by her mother to pick up the phone & call herself.
