Along with her companions Tamahome, Hotohori and Nuriko, Miaka meets Taiitsukun, the ruler of the realm of the four gods. Taiitsukun takes the group to her palace on Mount Taikyoku and has their wounds tended. She reveals to Miaka how she can use the life energy of the Seishi to open the path between the worlds and return home.
