Lovely. Christopher Reeve's directorial debut (post-riding-accident), he proves himself to be a real actor's director (for me, the best kind)--and a very intelligent one. Glenn Close is marvelous, almost incandescent. David Strathairn is ultimately heart-wrenching as the father nearly paralyzed by his own reserve, Robert Sean Leonard holds his own beautifully with these acting greats. Though I loved the understated quality of the writing, I might have liked a bit more fleshing out of scenes.
