Riff on THE BEGUILED and MISERY starts promisingly, with the foreboding physical location work matched by a trio of fine performances from Davis, Dowd and Barden. Turns frustratingly predictable (and long-winded) after the scenario is set-up, with no effort made to explore the minds of the women or their peculiar "order"; Davis ultimately gets the most meat to her character (with a little help from Thornton) but the suspense dissipates once the story direction becomes clear.
