I need to preface this by saying that the version I watched did not have English subtitles (as far as I could tell). Even so, the film was a fascinating insight into the making of 'Cobra Verde' and Herzog's film making process. The music (both diegetic and non-diegetic) is irresistible and the local Ghanian women actors are very endearing (Gruber's rapport with these women makes the film). Watching Kinski in the women's dressing room is disturbing in light of his history of sexual abuse.
