In the vein of Ippo and Ashita no Joe. Woven in are some threads of sacrifice, friendship, coopting dreams, and dedication; but at its core, Megalo Box is an anime about boxing and sport. In that respect it's excellent, with a touch of jazzy hip hop fusion to complement satisfying counter punches.
