If you liked the Jinx, this is more of the same. The documentation of those involved is comparable. Which means that you see a crime story unfolding, it's just not a story, it's an real-life crime, where you can speculate what was really going on and how it could happen.

Tells a fascinating story of a brutal justice system that may (or not) have captured the correct perpetrators, and is where this dichotomy moves front and centre that the film becomes most interesting; has a problem common to modern series of a great 3 hour-ish subject blown up into overlength - too many digressions (the stage re-enactments) add little to the narrative, literally repeating points already made. Wang manages the perfect balance of cozy insouciance and probing interrogator.
