The morning of April 29th. When Araragi happens to meet Tsubasa on his way to a bookstore, she has a bandage on her face. Listening to her story, he learns that she lives in a broken family.
April 30th. Araragi visits Meme and Shinobu. He tells Meme that he and Tsubasa found a body of a white cat with no tail, and buried it yesterday. His story upsets Meme.
The night of April 30th. Araragi sneaks into Tsubasa's house and is shook by what he finds. His sisters tell him about a cat-like monster that has been attacking people the past two nights.
The night of May 7th. Shinobu lends Araragi a sword that will enable him to kill the cat possessing Hanekawa. Meme counsels him on how to proceed with his life.
