Skewering nearly every element of film criticism and cinephile culture, Turkington and Heidecker deconstruct the "movie review program" in a manner that is equal parts hilarious, absurd, and irreverent, its low-budget aesthetics and empty analysis a "Fuck You" to those who may take their film sensibilities just a bit too seriously. The Oscar specials remain series highlights for their complete mockery of the year's most masturbatory event.

This interesting thing about this series is that it's called "On Cinema", but if you go & look up that title on the Internet, you'll see that "On Cinema" was actually a podcast, and this is kind of an unofficial sequel to that. So I think it should have been called "On Cinema 2", and maybe they should have brought in as director Mark Rydell, who made "On Golden Pond" (1981, 109min) to make a sort of "On" trilogy. I'm going to give it 5 bags of popcorn, and maybe a little statue of Henry Fonda.

I wish the full court case was a separate entry on Criticker, I would give that a much higher rating than the actual series.

I watch their Oscers special every year. So much fun
