Probing and insightful portrait of Shields does an effective, incisive job of examining mores and standards of misogyny in the 70s and 80s: possibly a played out subject in the post #MeToo era, but this stands out by putting Shields’ personal experience of it front and centre, and revealing her as warm hearted, intelligent and even-handed about telling her story and experiences. Given Shields is an actress I’ve been aware of without paying too much mind to, this was a low-key eye opener.
