The film makes a great effort showing archive images and interviews of people who've known Modotti. Outside of that it almost feels an insult to Modotti: she's called "Tina" like a child all the time (e.g. "Tina and Weston") and the film insists more on her "femme fatale" and "nude pictures" aspects rather than her photography work.
