Initially seems like it's going be as formulaic a werewolf movie as you expect a 70's tv-movie to be, but once a macho hunter type that many liberals would hate enters, it gets interesting - esp his obsession w/ the lead . It's also compelling that whenever I thought I knew who the werewolf would be, writer Matheson threw in a misdirect to keep me guessing. Even as the climax began, I thought he might've lost his ability to surprise but the final twist is so unexpected, some may not like this.
