All bad disaster films need an explanation for why the bad thing happening. We don't need one really but for the script to be complete you should get it. In this film, after the explanation, one of the characters exclaims "Sounds plausible!". There is a later gentle rubbing of the fourth wall where the mention of using a nuke to destroy the stonado is dismissed by a character as "a cliche". It's silly nonsense, but it's heart is in the right place.

Really quite poor excuse for a sci-fi movie, piss poor effects/CG, silly script. The acting is ok at best, there are a few funny intentional/unintentional effects of people flying off into the air with the wind.

An attempt to recapture the "so bad its good" fun of sharknado, it did get a few laughs as people spontaneously combusted when hit with rocks. Good watch on a day when you're too tired to enjoy anything good.
