The original broadcast was censored to the point of rendering many action scenes borderline unintelligible. No greater disservice could be done to material that takes the "dead pool" setup and disregard for human life of Gantz and combines it with comical gore straight out of Riki-Oh. Thankfully, the uncensored blu-rays let us experience the latter in all its glory. Never thought I'd see someone decapitated with a [spoiler]!
