Noe meets Vanitas for the first time on an airship to Paris, as he deals with a vampire consumed by bloodlust.
While meeting with Paris's vampire leader Lord Ruthven, Noe and Vanitas are attacked by another vampire, and Ruthven's nephew Luca and his beautiful chevalier Jeanne.
Vanitas and Noe make investigations into the vampire attacks, but the arrival of Noe's fiancée Dominique complicates things.
Vanitas and Noe attend a masquerade party exclusively for vampires, which gets out of hand.
