apropos of this being the coolest tv adaptation of a book i liked at the time, my favourite authors at that age were the likes of malorie blackman, robert swindells, bruce coville, r.l. stine, christopher pike, philip ridley (scribbleboy motherfuckers), paul jennings, morris gleitzman (the WICKED books were my absolute favourite), anthony horowitz, blyton & dahl of course. i also remember loving harry potter before anyone had even heard of it (hipster alert), which is weird to think about now.
