Interesting and very educational walkthrough of the disaster that was the 1930's Dust Bowl. I did find it a little dry though (harrr harrr, geddit?)

Ken Burns demonstrates with this film, using agriculture on America's Great Southerns Plains as an example, the power of industrialisation to transform hope (a feeling of expectation and desire for a particular thing to happen) into deadly insanity (doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results). All set to the tragic yet uplifting tunes of Woody Guthrie. Why have I never heard of Howard Finnell? Watching a Ken Burns film is always an educative experience.
