A great limited series where Sam Jackson killed it as Ptolemy Grey. The acting is awesome, the story line is engaging and interesting, and overall this was a great watch that I binged in one sitting.

Starts strong, with stark, moving realism & a great performance by Jackson, but descends into repetitive, overwrought melodrama, simplistic allegories & equally idiotic murder-mystery & borderline sci-fi plot-lines. No one spends more than seconds wondering how a man in severe dementia becomes fully lucid with an astounding memory. Ptolemy has a secret fortune, but both he & his family experience bouts of poverty. Nor did he use it to create safeguards when he first started mentally declining.

The number of poor people in this show who are offered money and refuse it is astounding. It boggles the mind really.

What a strong acting by living legend Samuel L. Jackson. So powerful performance. One of the best. The first 2 episodes were pretty good and i'm excited for next. My rating may up or down later.
