A personal favorite. Undeniably clunky at times, but it hits all the highs expected of the series, as it explores very TNG themes of morality vis-a-vis bureaucracy, within its high concept and high stakes. Data's sentience and innocence are never once a question for the viewer, making for a furious viewing experience, allowing for the dialogue and acting to rise to the occasion (character Capt. Louvois shines as one of Trek's great bitches, conflicted yet principled).
