Novel highlighting of several historically significant moments in American politics through the eyes of the Chiefs Of Staff at the coal face is frustratingly skimpy and scattershot; a more thorough, chronological study of these events would be fascinating. A tendency towards repetition and a favouring of Republican administrations detract somewhat, but the program is a useful primer on the role of Chief of Staff, and even manages to make Cheney and Rumsfield comparably warm and endearing!
