1992
Comedy, Music
TV Movie

Based around Tap's performance at the Royal Albert Hall in 1992. In between the footage of St. Hubbins, Tufnel, and Smalls performing in front of a huge crowd enthusiastically determined to go along with the joke, there are clips purporting to investigate the band's humble origins in the East London suburb of Squatney, and updates from "rockumentary" director Marty DiBergi and hapless record plugger Artie Fufkin from the original movie.

When there's a great movie, you really wish there's a sequel. In this "installment," almost all the humor is sucked out (or, in some cases, just recycled, like Stonehenge and the pods), leaving only a concert film that runs far too long. I thought I was a fan of the band (I have records!), but this doesn't really add anything. The two things that impressed me were Nigel's Spider-Man costume and the drummer's performance.
