....Still....Wakes The Deep...

A bit like 'The Mist' but with climate change replacing religion. A lot of "oh, mother nature is telling us something but we are not listening" type hokem, but done with some real tension and foreboding. I disagree with Ethereal in that for me, the first two episodes almost made me want switch off because of the hammy acting and stereotypical characterisations (particularly Hampshire) but things got better, although not exactly much clearer, towards the end. Not brilliant but not bad either.

The series starts intensely by creating an eerie and mysterious atmosphere, but after the 3rd episode it inexplicably turns into a long sequence of dialogues in which the characters explain to each other everything about the plot. Moreover, they do it with no emotions, in a calm and matter-of-fact tone that is completely contradictory with the terrorizing situation they are supposed to be in. If I had to rate each of the 6 episodes, I would give: 100, 100, 75, 45, 25, 25.
