Inspector Lanz hoped he had finally found peace after the serial killer he was pursuing for years was killed during a car chase in London. However, after going on vacation with his wife Karen and traveling to Vienna his nightmare begins again as the killer seems to be alive and has started murdering again and has chosen to target Karen as his next victim.
