Season 1 - Ruka and Rumi Kobayakawa are twin sisters in love with the same man, athletic upperclassman Katsuyuki Touma. At first Rumi is supportive of Ruka's fledgling romance with the handsome Katsuyuki, until the twins are infected with a strange bacterium that alters Rumi's personality and gifts the twins with terrifying psychic powers. Now Rumi will let nothing - or no one - get between her and Katsuyuki, including her own twin sister.

Rumi and Ruka Kobayakawa are identical twins who both are members of the track team and have a crush on a handsome upperclassman Katsuyuki Tohma, but he chooses the latter.
While Ruka doesn't want to hurt Rumi's feelings, Rumi feels betrayed by her own sister. On their way to the party celebrating the graduation of the eldest members of the team, they take shelter in a cave, which turns out to be a mass grave, and all members were killed by the strange smell from the cave, with Rumi and Ruka only survivors.
After the tragedy, Rumi has become a completely different person, and one day she literally emerges from the floor of Ruka's room...
