Disappointed with the scope; hoped for a sociological view or a constrained soldier point of view. I find both to add a sense of gritty realism. Instead, this is a more conventional narrative. The script is fine, but has a tendency for overwrought monologues. Some actors do good (Melakhi, Yoav) while others overplay (Avinoum). Most annoyed by the dad-son plot, a trope I never gel with. Ignorant of the conflict, I was often confused. Unsure how to feel about how the Syrians are portrayed.

Gets progressively repetitive and repetitively progressive towards the ending.
