Intriguing look into a controversial subject, this talking heads doc combines interviews with studies into the practice to look at the underlying psychology of its perpetrators. A mixture of nice guys following orders and sociopaths who seem to revel in their roles, you're made to think about what good/evil comes from it and how culpable those carrying it out really are. Soundtrack's shit and the second half fails to keep up the enlightening 'history of torture', but this is time well spent.
