Collections are one of the most powerful and enjoyable ways to explore and organize films on Criticker. They let you group movies around any theme or concept, whether that's Female Directors, Studio Ghibli, or Post-1960s black & white photography. Collections are only limited by your imagination, and are an amazing way to uncover new films or share your movie expertise.
Every user at Criticker can create and manage their own Collections, adding or removing titles at any time. And you can decide how visible you want to make them:
Private: Collections that are only visible to you, for lists you'd rather keep to yourself. You can still share them with friends and family, if you choose.
Public: Available for the world to see. Other users can bookmark your collection, and use it to help generate their own recommendations.
Collaborative: Not only are these public, but anyone can add to them. These are perfect for when you're interested in a particular topic, and would like others to contribute their own titles to the list. As moderator, you can remove particular titles, or ban certain users from further contributions.
Criticker already has thousands of Collections, covering a vast array of topics: directors, genres, historical periods, awards, formats, moods, and more. On each title's information page, Criticker shows you what Collections it appears in, often introducing you to new films, series, or games which fit a similar niche. For instance, if you loved Arrival, you'll find that it belongs to collections called Intellectual Sci-Fi and Linguistics, which in turn might lead you to dozens of related titles. It's one of the most organic, community-driven ways to expand your watchlist.
