Anatomie d'un rapport
In a deadpan riff on navel-gazing French sex dramas, director Moullet plays himself in a docudrama set largely in bed. An actress stands in (or lies in, as the case may be) for real-life partner and co-director Pizzorno, to reenact the couplings and quarrels of a pair of prickly intellectuals.

Dry and intellectual to the point of (intentional?) self-parody, but at the same time really perceptive and truthful and pretty great. Sure it sort of resembles an Into to Women's Studies class at times, or an attempt to out-Godard Godard, but that said it's way better than anything comparable that most "mumblecore" ever tried to achieve, let alone Bergman or even Cassavetes' dissections of relationships. Also the ending gets ridiculously meta.

I realize it's supposed to be dry, but it is too much for me. Moullet is a really bad actor.
