And Now Ladies and Gentlemen

Meh. That's about the only word to describe a movie quite so mediocre. Jeremy Irons puts in a decent performcance, as does Patricia Kaas, but there's not much they can do with a muddling script that tries far too hard to be more than it is. It's confusing, and tries too hard to work in references to the title, and the constant changes in the timeline just don't work.

It tries. It tries to do far too much. The script makes very little sense, as it's hard to figure out what's real, what's not, what's a dream. And as someone else said-it tries far too hard to shoehorn in the title.
