Beyond the River

Whilst not a sure fire subject for a blockbuster, BtR is none the less, a gripping and emotional story based on real events. I dont know the "real" story, but that depicted in the film was truly heart rending; hinted at throughout with flashbacks, and when finally revealed an epic piece of cinema because of its simplicity and humanity. The race itself was a backdrop to this character driven story, but still an amazing spectacle which was beautifully filmed. A "budget" heart warming masterpiece
