Guangdong Heroine

During the Japanese invasion of Northeast China a teenage Chinese girl and her friend are brutally gang raped by Japanese soldiers. After her friend commits suicide, the girl joins a notorious group of bandits, vowing to get revenge. Sublimating her own familial desires, she consequently directs her local army towards a vigorous and protracted resistive campaign with the enemy, whereby local communities mythically proclaim her as 'The Guangdong Heroine'.
