Carradine hosts an entertainingly tacky, brain-damaged investigation into the title subject, wherein heavyweights like Elke Sommer describe spooky Tinseltown incidents, interspersed with some choice fright-flick clips. The pic also offers a classic example of high-concept Hollywood-think when _Amityville_ producer Elliott Geisinger explains why that allegedly haunted house's original owners couldn't have been perpetrating a hoax.
