K2: Siren of the Himalayas

I continue to detest actors narrating historical figures' diaries, and this film is no exception with about 1/3 of it is comprised of such segments. That aside, unlike many documentaries care is taken to properly label locations, making it easier to orient oneself with the astonishing scenery. We get a vague, but realistic, sense of the characters involved; there are no over-the-top characters or manufactured dramas, but more personal insight into the journey would've been appreciated.
