The direction is flat, pedestrian, but the dazzling blue Mediterranean sea flashes of something just out of reach. Some fine performances, Darroussin, (cuckolded husband). Ascaride is real, not airbrushed, just natural. Depth could have been added by digging into, despite what she claims, Marie-Jo loves neither man. The ending is one of stupendous stupidity, unbelievable, mawkish, & melodramatic, leaving viewer with a bad taste.
