Softly moving and carefully thought-provoking. You kind of expect it to culminate in spectacular bonds and/or conflicts, as dramas often go, but Adoption is subtler than that, and leaves more to the viewer's imagination. Thematically, I wouldn't have expected this from Miklos Jancso's writer (Hernadi). Occasionally this reminded me of 1960s Ermanno Olmi.
