A really enjoyable watch, which I plan on watching again soon

Ooh. Pretty inaccurate. Also 11th century Dead Poets Society starring Ben Kingsley instead of RW. As entertainment value, it fails because it feels too predictably didactic. And yet what it is didactic about is largely a false premise & misleading. Settings & cultural interactions are pretty snazzy & too rarely portrayed.

Beautifully made and has great visuals but is historically inaccurate and is more like a propaganda trying to show that a group of people is superior to another. Disgraceful.

WTF!!! Avicenna and suicide!!?? are you kidding me? an english barber taught anatomy and surgery to Avicenna!!?? only a mad director can create such shitty movies. I don't recommend this movie at all.

1242: i am surprised ! too many historical faults!

It ticks all the right boxes, but the sum is not greater than its parts. Still an enjoyable film though.

The main character performs a circumcision on himself in the pitch dark at one point and the devastating problem of a Plague epidemic is solved through the power of a montage. That's all you need to know about this movie.

Expect quite a lot of changes to the novel. Standing on it's own it's a solid movie.
