Varea anthygieina

A guerilla fighter saves 70 villagers from getting executed by the Germans during the WWII. When he falls in a gorge, trying to escape his German persecutors, the villagers assume he is dead and set up a statue in his memory. He will go back to the village alive, three decades later.
