Old Disney tv movie

Hi,
Now I think this movie was by Disney not sure though. For some reason I remember it watching on the Disney channel like late 80's early 90's. But there are two girls that are sisters, one like is a teenager the other is like 12 and they are aliens that crashed out in a small town country setting. They like this weird alien pet that is orange ish and is three legged, but moves pretty past like a wheel and it eats coal. Anyway their stuck trying to find a way home and a family takes them in while they try to find a way back. I think their hair also changes color from a sandy brown/blonde to white at night time or when the moon is out.
Please help me find this movie its driving me crazy

Pretty sure the movie you're looking for is called Hyper Sapien: People from Another Star

Not a Disney flick, but a small budget Canadian feature.
