A sign announcing "Ad Blocker Detected" continually appears when I use this site on Safari on desktop, despite the fact that I'm not using an ad blocker, and despite the fact that ads do continually appear.
A separate issue is that when one ad gets replaced by another, those ads are not always the same size, meaning that the page jumps up and down and as a result becomes difficult to use.

Re: "Ad Blocker Detected"
Hmm... okay, thanks for letting us know. We definitely don't want to be showing that to anyone not using an adblocker!
We'll check it out, and if necessary, disable that functionality until we've figured it out.

This one should now be fixed! Thanks again for letting us know about it, and let us know if you still run into any issues.

Not quite fixed yet: if I click the button to rate a movie, or to add it to a collection, or to suggest an edit, the "ad blocker detected" sign stills flashes up for a second or two before being replaced by the correct form. It doesn't happen every single time, but it does happen most times, and, when it does, sometimes it lasts a couple of seconds and other times just a fraction of a second.

Ah, okay -- thanks for letting us know about that! We'll take another look; I have a feeling I know what's causing that.djross wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 9:16 pmNot quite fixed yet: if I click the button to rate a movie, or to add it to a collection, or to suggest an edit, the "ad blocker detected" sign stills flashes up for a second or two before being replaced by the correct form. Hi again. Actually, it's still occurring. Or possibly (it seems to me): re-started occurring.

Shoot, thanks for letting us know! I think there might be something regional about this problem. We'll take another look!djross wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 6:58 amHi again. Actually, it's still occurring. Or possibly (it seems to me): re-started occurring.

Re: "Ad Blocker Detected"
Actually, could you give us a little more information? When you say it's occurring again, do you mean that it's displaying when it shouldn't? Or that it seems to be "flashing" before loading the correct modal?
We haven't been able to replicate either, but knowing which problem has recurred will help us narrow our efforts.
