Seeing a chance to make a lot of money, gangster Harmon joins the ride and then has his men kidnap the three. He learns the rifle belongs to a ranch hand named Barker and that a third party has caused the feud. When he captures outlaws trying to blow up a dam, he claims Barker was the killer. She dreams about her grandmother's adventures including a romance with a cowboy who looks very much like Roy. Roy, of course, also exists in the present for Dale. The studio plans to use him and his six-piece band but his musical deficiencies are discovered and the plan scrapped. Barker is after the Andrews ranch and kills Bart Andrews. But Bart had sent for Cliff and Cliff now arrives and takes over the fight against Barker. To get the necessary hands to drive Andrews' herd to market, Cliff makes a deal with Barker saying hew will give him half the money collected. Both Cliff and Barker then make plans to double-cross the other when the cattle are sold.

Wertheimer, a New York radio talent scout, shows up at Uncle Jed's barn dance having received numerous letters from Nancy Shackelford, the adopted daughter of Uncle Jed Shackelford, telling him about the musical talents of Bob and the other four farm-hand musicians. He hires the boys for a new radio program to be known as "The Old Homestead" broadcast from New York. Nancy and Uncle Jed accompany them, the latter as their manager. The show is a hit and Nancy is thrilled.

Brad Buckner has just bought a ranch. Murdock keeps his rustled cattle on the ranch and sends his men to kill Buckner just as they did the previous owners. But Buckner and his men foil their attempts and decide to search the ranch. U.S. Marshal Steve Lawlor (Charles Starrett) comes to the aid of cattle-rancher Madge Conway (Iris Meredith) after her father (Edward LeSaint) is murdered by a gang of cattle rustlers, and she tries to carry on with the help of her ranch-foreman, Bob (Bob Nolan), and her loyal ranch hands. Aided by his friend and fellow lawman, U.S. Marshal McLain, Lawlor, posing as an outlaw, suspects Matt Taylor and banker Frank Parker (Robert Fiske) of being behind the rustling and killing.

Kenyon has the newly arriving Ranger shot and his man Martin assume the Ranger's identity. Clay finds the Ranger before he dies and learns the truth. But when Clay confronts Martin, Martin convinces the townspeople he is a real Ranger and Clay is the murderer. Clay escapes and must now find a way to expose Martin as a fake.

Wade Patterson arrives to take over the ranch he bought. Carere is using the ranch to hold his rustled cattle and when Wade's brother finds the cattle, Carere kills him. The inquest puts Wade on the track of the killer and when Terry, the reluctant member of Carere's gang confesses, Wade sets out to get a confession from Carere.

Hero Jeff Strong (Starrett) comes to the rescue of a group of victimized ranchers. The villains are a gang of crooked gamblers, who demand a valuable dam as payment for a $50,000 debt. The ranchers hope to earn the money by getting their cattle to market on time, but head bad guy Cash Fenton (Kenneth MacDonald) and his flunkey Lobo (Dick Curtis) intend to prevent this.

Things get under way when US marshal Tom (Starrett) finds himself in the midst of a range war. The villains are a band of rustlers who play both sides of the confrontation against one another, the better to move in and claim all the livestock.

Outlaws Dale and Tucson quit Wolf's gang. Just as the two are about to rob the stage, Wolf and his gang beat them to it. Dale breaks it up saving the money and this gets him appointed Sheriff. But Wolf shows up and threatening to expose Dale, forces him to let his gang rob the express office.

A kindhearted hero takes on a gang of criminals in the old West.

Jim Endicott has organized the ranchers into building a spur rail line so they can ship their cattle and avoid the rustlers. Faro Jack gets banker Potter to lend them the money and then plans to sabotage the project so he and Potter can take over all the ranches in the valley. But Jim has dealt with Faro before and he plans to see the line completed.
